Introduction to key palliative care concepts
Palliative Care: Getting Started provides a detailed introduction for health professionals to the key palliative care concepts required to provide best practice clinical care.
The module consists of an introduction and seven primary chapters to work through:
Introductory
Any health professional who has an interest in caring for patients and their families living with a life-threatening illness or who wish to find out more about palliative care.
Approximately 2 hours for the entire module
The Centre for Palliative Care, a state-wide Victorian service based at St Vincent’s Hospital (a collaborative centre of the University of Melbourne)
There is also a resource section with links to relevant key resources to assist in the clinical setting. There are several interactive activities throughout the module.
