Palliative Care: Getting Started provides a detailed introduction for health professionals to the key palliative care concepts required to provide best practice clinical care.

The module consists of an introduction and seven primary chapters to work through:

• Who needs palliative care?
• How is palliative care provided?
• Palliative care teams
• Carers in palliative care
• Symptoms commonly experienced by a palliative care patient
• Care of the dying person
• Bereavement
• Palliative care resources.
