Palliative care and homelessness: A summative report

In partnership with the Council of Capital Cities Lord Mayors, Palliative Care Australia supported each of the state and territory palliative care peak bodies to host a forum in their respective capital cities to harness information on barriers and enablers, identify any consistencies in these, and look for localised solutions. A summative report of those forums was produced.

2024 National Carer Survey

State and Territory Carers organisations are asking carers to complete the National Carer Survey. Conducted every two years, this survey offers a platform for carers across Australia to share their experiences and perspectives. Carers are people who look after someone (or help to look after someone) who has a disability, mental illness, drug or alcohol dependency, chronic condition, dementia, terminal or serious illness, or who needs care due to ageing? The survey will help carer organisations to understand and address the needs of the diverse carer community.

Palliative Care Education Directory (PaCE) app now available

The PaCE web app is a palliative care education resource directory enabling educators and health and aged care providers to find the right learning resources. The app was developed by QUT’s Palliative Care Education & Training Collaborative and includes over 200 National Palliative Care Project education resources. To help the project team improve on the app, you are invited to use it and then provide feedback via this short survey.

Survey of the Australian palliative care workforce across aged care and health settings

Palliative Care Australia would like to hear from the workforce providing palliative care in any setting. This includes volunteers. A short survey (10 mins) will ask you questions about your role, workforce pressures and your occupational wellbeing, demand for services, the National Palliative Care Standards, after-hours care, VAD, and palliative care in the aged and primary care sectors.
